What a difference a week makes…

25 Nov

I am absolutely LOVING being back in Asia!!

I have spend the last week and a bit going on loads of dives off the coast of Koh Phi Phi in Thailand. Being underwater always reminds me of how insignificant I am in the big scheme of things – and of how much I just don’t know or understand. All those colourful, amazing creatures…

There is something incredibly meditative about being under the sea. Nothing but the sound of your own breath, forcing yourself to slow down, observe and be exquisitely aware of your own body and your surroundings. Truly delicious.

One of my yoga students was sent this piece – She’s not sure where it comes from, so I can’t attribute, but it definitely hit my inbox at the perfect time.

Do what you love, and do it often.
If you don’t like something, change it.
If you don’t like your job, quit.
If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, stop;
they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love.
Stop over analyzing, life is simple. All emotions are beautiful.
When you eat, appreciate every last bite.
Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences.
Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them.
Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself.
Some opportunities only come once; seize them.
Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating.
Live your dream, and wear your passion. Life is short.
Keep your eyes fixed on the sun.

Have a gorgeous week!

Asking people “what is your passion?” is one of my favourite open-ended questions when I meet them. Sometimes I get the most surprised looks back. It’s much better than asking “So, what do you do (for work)?”
