The Greatest Threat is Bullsh*t

4 Jun

I’ve just watched Jon Lovett’s incredible commencement speech at Pitzer College.

I barely noticed how long it was – he was funny, smart, engaging and super inspiring:

“There’s a reminder that it’s not mutually exclusive to be confident and humble; to be skeptical and eager to learn…”

“I’d rather be wrong and cringe, than right and regret not speaking up…”

He quotes one of my favourite ideas from F. Scott Fitzgerald:
“The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.”

Watch this. Then go out into the world and be awesome.

Thanks Megan for sharing this. It’s about integrity and to thine own self be true! But it’s more than this. About taking risks.

As one Christian lady put it. We should be asking our children who do you want to be when you grow up not what do you want to do?
Do we want to be honest, caring, compassionate etc.
As I grow older I learn that we are always learning if we don’t become set in our ways!

I love your fresh approach to life. You are a breath of fresh air!
Continue to enjoy life and to encourage others.
